Butech Bliss constructs massive crop shear

January 2011 - Butech Bliss, Salem, Ohio, completed construction of the world’s largest hot strip mill crop shear. ArcelorMittal contracted the machine for its Bremen, Germany-based plant. The machine weighs approximately 1 million pounds and will cut hot steel bars up to 3 inches thick by 87 inches wide traveling at speeds more than 250 feet per minute.
