Universal Steel starts up stretcher leveler

February 2011 - "The Memory Eraser," Cleveland-based Universal Steel’s new high-strength stretcher leveler, manufactured by Butech Bliss, Salem, Ohio, can produce laser-flat, stress-free, memory-free sheets. It can process material up to 3/4 inch by 74 inches and up to 700 inches long, including high-strength steels beyond 100,000 pounds per square inch yield. Adding the stretcher leveler allows Universal to provide its customers with leveling, shape correcting or stretcher leveling to match customer requirements.
