Yarde Metals purchases saw

April 2011 - Yarde Metals, Southington, Conn., has purchased and installed a precision sheet cutting saw from MetlSaw Systems, Benicia, Calif. The saw can hold 6 inches to 8 inches of stacked nonferrous sheet. It has the capability of holding and sawing a single sheet of 0.02-inch material without needing auxiliary support, and it can be directly loaded with a forklift. Yarde purchased the saw for use in conjunction with the company’s new leveling line, which it anticipates will be ready in June 2011.
