April 2011 - Copper and Brass Sales, a division of ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, Southfield, Mich., will add a copper surcharge to customer orders. Because of the financial impact of higher copper prices, the company has determined it needs customers to share in the cost to continue to keep appropriate inventory levels on hand to meet demand. Copper and Brass Sales expects to keep the surcharge in place only until copper pricing returns to a manageable level.
