Drag conveyor for chip removal

May 2011 - Prab's lighter-duty version of its drag conveyor technology integrates under certain CNC machines to remove chips at the source. It features a grated end plate, which allows metalworking fluid to exit the conveyor and collect in a liquid-tight trough. The lighter-duty drag conveyor is an economic alternative to factory-installed 1.5-in. pitch steel belt conveyors, which can require frequent maintenance, said Mike Porter, Prab project manager, in a press release.
