December 2011 - Calvert, Ala.-based ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA’s customers in NAFTA countries now can buy 72-inch-wide stainless steel flat products produced in the United States. To date, no stainless steel producer has manufactured 72-inch coils in the NAFTA region and only small volumes have been imported, according to ThyssenKrupp. This special size is used to manufacture large tanks for the chemical, oil and gas industries.
