Sapa Extrusions obtains ISO/TS 16949 for automotive markets

September 2012 - Sapa Extrusions North America, Rosemont, Ill., received ISO/TS 16949 certification for its Cressona, Pa., facility. The certification is a quality management system for continuous improvement, defect prevention and waste reduction in automotive markets. This complements Sapa’s cast house expansion and new 14-inch indirect press for rod and bar production in Cressona, said Charlie Straface, general manager, Sapa Extrusions North America-Industrial, in a statement.
