November 2012 - Philadelphia-based Superior Group sold Superior Tube Company Inc., Collegeville, Pa., and Fine Tubes Ltd., Plymouth, U.K., to private equity firm The Watermill Group, Lexington, Mass. Superior Tube and Fine Tubes, founded in 1934 and 1943, respectively, are high-precision, small-diameter tube manufacturers. Cleveland-based Brown Gibbons Lang & Co.’s Metals Practice managed the transaction.
