January 2013 - Benteler International AG, Salzburg, Austria, announced plans to build a hot rolling tube mill in Caddo, La. Benteler Steel/Tube develops and produces custom tubes. The company hopes to strengthen its position in the North American OCTG market by opening its first U.S. production facility, which will create more than 1,000 jobs. Benteler Steel/Tube’s U.S. headquarters is in Houston.
