U.S. Army regiment installs Jet Edge waterjet

February 2013 - The U.S. Army’s 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, based in Fort Irwin, Calif., recently installed a Jet Edge precision waterjet to expedite work requests. The 20-soldier Service & Recovery Section, a support section within the regiment’s maintenance troop, Regimental Support Squadron, is responsible for machining and welding fabricated parts. In the first month, the ACR used the mid rail gantry waterjet system to make battery shims, transmission shifting linkages and electrical covers.
