NASPD adds to hall of fame

May 2013 - The National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors, Victoria, Texas, inducted three industry leaders into its 2013 Hall of Fame.

Mort Keiser (1918-2007) founded Tioga Pipe and Supply Co. Inc., Philadelphia, in 1946 and was an early supporter of the NASPD, serving on its board of directors from the 1970s to the 1990s. Abe Merfish (1922-2005) was the driving force behind his father’s company Merfish Pipe & Supply, Houston, from 1950 through the 1980s. The third generation of the Merfish family now leads the 93-year-old company. Douglass Preston Yadon created the Preston Pipe & Tube Report, St. Louis, in 1982 and has served as an advisor to the International Trade Commission, International Trade Administration, American Petroleum Institute and American Iron & Steel Institute.
