TECHNI - ANCA partnership further consolidates industry leadership

June 2013 - TECHNI Waterjet’s reputation as technology leader in the Waterjet Cutting industry has been strengthened with their Equity Partner, the ANCA Group, electing to take up an option to increase their stake in Techni to 40%.

Darren Reukers, Managing Director of TECHNI Waterjet said that “ANCA will take a further 20% share in TECHNI over the next two years, with further options to develop an even closer partnership in the future.”

“The strategic alliance builds on TECHNI’s ability to provide leading edge technology as well as the capital to continue to increase production in order to meet rapidly growing demand for products like the new Quantum NXT ESP electric servo pump,” Mr Reukers said.

“The backing of a leading global machine tool manufacturer such as the ANCA Group, will help to grow the business, enhance the wider recognition of our products and strengthen and protect our unique Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio,” said Mr Reukers.

ANCA is a world leader in developing CNC technology, and is one of the largest and most respected CNC grinding machine manufacturers. Established in 1974, the ANCA Group is a global organisation which employs more than 800 people and has consolidated annual sales approaching $200Million.

“We see our growing investment in TECHNI Waterjet and their technology as a key strategic decision which will strengthen and broaden our market, and an extension of an already mutually beneficial relationship.” said Grant Anderson, CEO of the ANCA Group, and Chairman of Techni Waterjet.

The closer alliance offers natural synergies and vertical integration between the ANCA Group companies. Sister companies within the ANCA group include; ANCA Motion who provides core CNC and motion control technology, and Tinfish offering complete fabrication solutions to the group.

The capital raised from the growing partnership enables TECHNI to continue growing its presence and support services in their key markets of the USA and Europe, while providing opportunity and capacity to rapidly grow in emerging markets in the Americas and Asia.

TECHNI will continue to apply its strict quality controls and dedication to Total Customer Support while being able to meet the needs of higher volume customers.

Co-founded by Mr Reukers and Glenn Langdon, TECHNI began manufacturing water-jet systems in the early 1990’s, and has released new and innovative products continually. Industry firsts include; Break Away Head, Tech-Sense Abrasive Monitoring System, Linear Encoder Feedback, PAC-60 Bevel Cutting Head, Ezy-Load Glass Lifters, Non-contact Garnet Pump and Hopper, Mobile Phone Communications System, Automatic Kerf Compensation, and the Quantum ESP.

“Today we are a multi-award winning company, recognised for our innovation, leadership and customer support. “The growing ANCA partnership is an important part of our evolution as a major player in the Waterjet Industry, and will provide many flow on benefits to ANCA, TECHNI, our customers, our suppliers, and our staff,” Mr Reukers said.
