Sapa congratulates its first NFRC certified simulator

October 2013 - Sapa Extrusions North America announced today that Sr. Application Engineer Alex Chen has been certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). As the global leader in delivering energy performance ratings for fenestration products and services, NFRC certification demonstrates dedication to product design and performance, particularly in the area of energy efficiency.

"We congratulate Alex on achieving NFRC certification," said Peter Hedman, director of Sapa's North American Technical Center. "As aluminum continues to set sustainability standards in the building and construction market, having this certification allows Sapa to engage our customers in product design and thermal analysis at a whole new level.”

NFRC labels and label certificates are the means for determining if windows, doors, curtain walls and skylights meet local energy codes. NFRC-certified performance ratings are required for such programs as ENERGY STAR Windows and other energy efficiency programs that offer rebates to builders, consumers and others. NFRC provides participating manufacturers with additional exposure by listing authorized manufacturers and certified products on its website.

Sapa’s North American Technical Center serves as a research, design and development center within Sapa Extrusions North America that works to provide innovative solutions and products to customers in a variety of markets, including the building and construction industry.
