Allied Steelrode orders Red Bud heavy gage cut-to-length line

February 2014 - Allied Steelrode Pty Ltd of Randhart, South Africa, recently purchased a Red Bud Industries’ heavy gage cut-to-length line with SUREGRIP stretcher leveler. The Line will be capable of processing material up to .473 in. (12 mm) thick at material widths up to 87 in. (2200 mm) wide at coil weights up to 73,000 lbs. (33,113 kg). The new Cut-To-Length Line was purchased by Allied Steelrode as part of their commitment to their customers to provide the best possible end product available in terms of flatness in the South African market.

The Stretcher Leveler was included in this purchase to guarantee that flatness. Due to trapped internal stresses, once material is cut, it can spring back. Stretcher leveling exceeds the yield in all of the material top to bottom and side to side. As a result, it produces flat material that is significantly more stable than any other product available, which in turn also eliminates the possibility of spring back.

The new Line will consist of an In-Line Coil Stage & Load System, Dual Cone Uncoiler, Heavy Gage Peeler Breaker, Crop Shear, Dual Roller Levelers, Dust Collector System, Sure Grip Non Marking Stretcher Leveler, Heavy Gage Grip Feed, Heavy Gage Shear, 315 in. (8000 mm) Drop Stacker, Automatic Lowering Stack Table, and End Discharge Rollouts.
