July 31, 2014 - According to the terms of a new agreement, Viva Motorsports will be using the newly released Fronius AccuPocket portable welder for mobile repairs throughout the remainder of the 2014 race season. Additional Fronius equipment will be on hand to support the race crew. The #55 Chevrolet displayed the Fronius logo beginning with the Aarons 312 at Talladega Superspeedway on May 3 and recently on the lower quarter panels of the #55 Camaro at the Lilly’s Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 26.
Battery powered, high-performance welding equipment is a natural fit for the racetrack. Fronius is pleased to be able to provide the AccuPocket and other equipment to support Viva Motorsports and their talented team. Viva’s driver Jamie Dick is a second-generation driver who has spent his life racing. His first start in a NASCAR race was in 2009 for the Camping World Truck Series. The truck series proved both he and the Viva Motorsports team were ready for the challenge of the Nationwide Series. Jamie is a passionate and determined competitor who is currently ranked 23 out of 67 ranked drivers.
“We’re excited to sponsor this amazing team,” says Stephanie Gibson of Fronius USA. “Our goal is simply to provide them with the very best welding tools to assist them in their continued success.”
