Women in Manufacturing offers new educational opportunity for up-and-coming MFG leaders


March 8, 2017 - The Management Development Program (MDP) will provide prospective and new managers with training that will better prepare and position them for upcoming opportunities. The MDP will help individuals further develop skills which are necessary for managerial success as well as provide participants with the tools to build a foundation for increased responsibility and promotion opportunities.

Who: The MDP will provide prospective and new managers with training to develop skills which are necessary for managerial success. This program pertains to women with management/supervisory potential and desire. 

What: Some of the topics covered during the program include:

  • Inspiration from Within: Developing a Personal Vision
  • Essential Communication Skills for Emerging Leaders
  • Financial Concepts
  • Becoming a Person of Influence 
  • The Hiring Process
  • Performance Management

When: Series begins on May 15, 2017. Graduation is on September 13, 2017. To view the complete schedule, please visit our website. 

Where: Participants will meet at WiM Headquarters in Cleveland, OH, for their first session, and then participate virtually via GoToWebinar for seven webinars. The program will conclude with an in-person session and graduation at the 2017 SUMMIT in Hartford, CT. 

How: Registration is $2,000 per WiM member and $3,000 per nonmember.
