Specialty Pipe & Tube announces sales, purchasing promotions

August 30, 2017 -Specialty Pipe & Tube Inc., distributor of large-diameter, heavy-wall carbon steel pipe and mechanical tubing, today announced several promotions in its sales and purchasing departments, effective immediately.

ron-8-30-17.jpgRon Lenhart (at left)is now vice president of business development/purchasing. Lenhart, formerly sales/business development since joining the company in 2015, is responsible for further developing Specialty’s customer base and finding new cost-effective worldwide resources for large-diameter, heavy-wall steel pipe and tubing.

Lenhart has more than 25 years of steel pipe and tubing experience. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing at Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pa., and studied strategic metals management at the Olin Business School at Washington University, St. Louis.

 

mcallister-3-30-17.jpgMark McAllister (left) is now sales manager. McCallister, who previously handled inside sales and served as quality assurance and safety manager, will manage activities of the inside and outside sales groups, and continue to oversee quality assurance and safety.

McCallister has been with Specialty for nearly 15 years. His previous roles include material handling, processing and logistics. McAllister studied at Kent State University.

 

 

gill-8-30-17.jpgLauri Gill (left) is now purchasing manager and sales representative. Gill, who has more than 15 years of sales experience at Specialty, adds oversight of purchasing activities to her responsibilities.

Gill previously served in a sales capacity for TimkenSteel Corp. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in finance from Walsh University, North Canton, Ohio.

 

 

Lenhart, McCallister and Gill will each share responsibilities previously handled by Vice President Ron Granato, who retired earlier this year after 48 years with the company.

Bryan Danks, accounting manager and sales representative, and Molly Klasovsky and Tyler Crozier, sales representatives, round out Specialty’s sales and purchasing teams.

“We’re excited about the opportunities we have to advance Specialty Pipe & Tube’s performance with these promotions,” said President Steve Baroff. “Ron, Mark, Lauri, Bryan, Molly and Tyler each have played key roles in our success during their time here, and we fully expect that to continue with this new structure in place.”

Specialty Pipe & Tube of Texas continues to serve the domestic energy market. The Houston-based division is led by Dianne Beck, vice president & general manager, and Chris Sitka, vice president of sales & marketing.
