NASA announces its 122nd member/owner company

murpheynolan.pngAugust 31, 2017 - The North American Steel Alliance welcomes Murphy and Nolan, Inc. as its 122nd member/owner company adding to the co-op’s existing 400 plus metal distribution locations across North America.

“With respect to our participation with NASA, our early expectations center around the networking opportunities across the co-op, purchasing power and maximizing our potential rebate!  With some recent additions to the NASA supply, we found the NASA membership to be compelling and decided to move forward with our membership application earlier this year,” added Jay Murphy.

Murphy and Nolan, Inc. enters its 3rd generation of management and ownership as the regional service leader for all types of specialty metals-cold finished steel bars, tubing, aluminum, stainless, and other specialty metals. Founded in 1953, the company’s focus on value-added services and dedication to customer relationships remains as the foundation of the business.

Murphy and Nolan, Inc. recently adopted a new mission statement:  We solve our customers’ challenges by providing unique raw material solutions.

“This sums up our organization in the eyes of our customers,” notes John J. Murphy, IV (Jay), President/CEO. “Our company was started with small orders of bars and tubing—we have not forgotten how to handle simple requirements easily and cost-effectively. Where we shine is our ability to supply small orders, large orders and complicated/customized value-added orders to our customer base in a cost-effective manner.”

From their three locations in upstate New York, M&N provides extensive services complimenting their transportation capabilities and diverse inventories in Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo, New York.
