Debbie Stern remembered by National Tube Supply colleagues

October 2009 - National Tube Supply inside salesperson Debbie Stern passed away June 12 after a battle with breast cancer, and her colleagues remember her for her sense of humor and personal touch with customers.

"She was the kind of person that made work pleasant," said Jim Manser, NTS sales manager, in an obituary in the Northwest Indiana Times. "Debbie was great to her customers. We did surveys of customer satisfaction, and one customer said even though they were a small customer she always made them feel like they were the biggest and the best."

"Debbie was one of the most caring, comical, unselfish and loving people I have ever known," said close friend Dawn Lagioia in the same obituary.

In honor of Stern, on Oct. 18, many NTS employees are participating in a walk called Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
