Vollmer celebrates 100th anniversary, opens technology and training center

October 2009 - The Vollmer Group was founded in 1909 in Ebingen, Germany, with just six workers. Today, it employs 700 in 12 subsidiaries across Europe, the Americas and Asia. A provider of saw blades and diamond tooling, Vollmer opened a technology and training center this year in Biberach, Germany. The 3,000-plus-sq.-m building offers classrooms, meeting rooms and machine demonstration areas.
