June 19, 2017 - O’Neal Industries has hired Troy Lugo as its Vice President and Corporate Controller. In that role, Lugo will be responsible for all ONI holding-company financial reporting, accounting, treasury, and banking activities, as well as acting as a support resource for ONI affiliate companies on technical accounting and financial reporting issues.

June 7, 2017 - TW Metals has hired Jon Veurink as Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Veurink brings over 30 years of experience in leadership roles in finance, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer in the energy and power generation markets, and Audit Partner at a Big Four accounting firm, working both in the U.S. and overseas.

June 2, 2017 - Andy comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having spent the last seven years at the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) where he was a key member of the organization’s leadership team. Andy had specific responsibility for leading PMA’s publishing and trade show operations, including launching a new publication serving the Additive Manufacturing market as well as starting several new events in the U.S. and Mexico.

June 1, 2017 - Melnkovic, who will be based at U. S. Steel's Pittsburgh headquarters, will report to Burritt and join the company's executive management team. In this position, he will be responsible for all facets of the company's human resources division as well as labor relations.

May 30, 2017 - The Association of Women in the Metal Industries is pleased to announce Sonya Malvick as 2016 Member of the Year. Ms. Malvick has been a member of AWMI for 22 years. In that time, she has held the position of Wisconsin Chapter Membership Chair, Programs Chair, Vice President and Chapter President. She currently serves as the International Vice-President after serving as the International Programs Chair for 6 years.

May 23, 2017 - Mr. Danjczek brings to Headwall his extensive strategic and operational leadership experience, including 15 years as President of the Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA), from which he retired in 2014.

May 18, 2017 - Mazak Corporation drew from the ranks of its highly capable and experienced management team and promoted Christopher Papke to the position of Southwest Regional General Manager. Papke will take over for Dana Scott who is set to retire after 19 years as the head of Mazak’s Southwest Technology Center in Houston, Texas.

May 15, 2017 - The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) today announced that Roy Hardy has joined the organization as president, effective May 15, 2017. As president, Hardy will spearhead the association’s work including leading PMA’s 34-member staff; directing strategic planning, membership development and outreach; managing finances; and leading domestic and international advocacy efforts.

May 12, 2017 - Lauren Trebbien joined the staff of United Performance Metals as Human Resources Coordinator. In this role, she will support and administer the recruiting, new hire onboarding, record-keeping, report-writing, HR systems, training, and benefits processing efforts of the company.

May 8, 2017 - BLM GROUP USA has announced the appointment of Russell Clark, Regional Sales Manager—Mid Atlantic. In this new capacity, Clark will direct BLM GROUP USA sales efforts in Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia for its complete line of laser tube cutting systems, benders and machining equipment.

May 5, 2017 - Mercurio has more than 20 years of experience at Mazak Optonics working in service, applications and now sales. Mercurio will be responsible for the Midwest Central territory which includes Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and St. Louis.

May 1, 2017 - Arconic announced today that Eric Roegner, Chief Operating Officer of Investment Castings, Arconic Titanium and Engineered Products and President of Arconic Defense, has been named President of Arconic Global Rolled Products, effective immediately. Roegner continues as President of Arconic Defense. He succeeds Kay Meggers who is leaving Arconic effective June 2 to become a faculty member at the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University.

April 12, 2017 - Moran started at Olympic Steel in 2011 as Sales Manager for the Integrity Stainless in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. In that role, he focused on business development and was responsible for increasing sales volume and new customer acquisition.

April 3, 2017 - As General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Lackinger replaces John Buckman, who served as General Manager and Vice President of Operations for the past 17 years. Mr. Buckman will remain with the company as Director of Hot Mill Solutions.

March 29, 2017 - Brian D. Robbins, CEO, and Noreen Koppelman-Goldstein, President, have both been chosen as finalists for Platts Global Metals Awards for CEO of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award, respectively. Finalists were chosen from over 100 nominations and will be judged by a panel of international experts.
