December 11, 2019 - United Performance Metals has ordered a unique Braner/Loopco Turret Head Slitter to produce ultra-precision high-strength stainless slit coil in its Hamilton, Ohio, coil processing center. The Turret Slitter, designed to produce thin gauge narrow stainless slit coils with mechanical properties to 200,000-psi (1380 MPa), will employ precision eccentric steel strippers rather than conventional rubber stripper rings in order to enhance ultra-precision thin gauge slit coil quality. Twin Slitter heads capable of switching from one order to the next in 60-seconds are featured to deliver extraordinary short run special order production efficiency. The new Eccentric Stripper Ring Slitter will be the second Turret Head™ Slitter installed at United Performance Metals.
