August 24, 2020 - Paragon Steel has placed an order for a Hi-Performance Braner/Loopco Shape-Correction Triple Turret Head Slitting Line with capacity to process 30-ton by 72 in. wide hot rolled and cold rolled coil with mechanical properties ranging to 150,000-psi (1035 MPa).
August 24, 2020 - Paragon Steel has placed an order for a Hi-Performance Braner/Loopco Shape-Correction Triple Turret Head Slitting Line with capacity to process 30-ton by 72 in. wide hot rolled and cold rolled coil with mechanical properties ranging to 150,000-psi (1035 MPa). The Slitting Line will feature a precision CNC Cluster Leveler designed to produce enhanced quality coil by correcting edge-wave, center-buckle, and cross-bow strip shape conditions throughout a .010 in. to .250 in. gauge range. The Turret Head™ Slitter is fitted with three heads that exchange in one-minute, threadless tooling lock-up, and automatic knife gapping. The line features a Loop Control Tensioner that can adjust slack strip loops while running, Recoiler Fillers that change Recoiler IDs from 20 in. to 24 in. and vice-versa in 2-minutes, Andiamo Automatic Coil Thread-Up, plus a full array of safety and production efficiency automation features. The new line is slated for installation in Paragon’s Butler, Indiana, coil processing center.
