A fire began a 8:45 a.m. Nov. 20 at Novelis’ Oswego, New York, aluminum plant. The company reported that "everyone working at the plant was safely evacuated and fortunately, there were no injuries.
Multiple local fire departments responded, and the fire was extinguished.
This fire followed another blaze that occurred earlier this year, and the company was still restoring parts of the plant from the damage of that first fire, which affected the hot mill.
