C O Building Systems, headquartered in Ephraim, Utah, recently installed a Red Bud Industries T1 Stretcher Leveler at their new division Nortonville Rail located in Nephi, Utah.
The new Stretcher was retrofitted into an existing .375” (9.5 mm) x 72” (1829 mm) wide line in order to expand their processing capabilities for both in-house consumption as well as the general market.
To increase production, a new Dual Drive Roll Feed, Loop, and Thread System was also purchased in order to convert the existing line from a start/stop to a Loop Type System. The Roll Feed incorporates Red Bud’s exclusive Dual Servo Drive System. This system streamlines the drive train and eliminates drives shafts which in turn reduces maintenance requirements while providing greater reliability. This also allows the Feed Rolls to run material up to .250” (6.3 mm) in a Loop.
Now that the Retrofit Upgrade Package is installed, the Stretcher Leveler, Thread System, and Dual Servo Drive Roll Feed will operate seamlessly with the other components in the existing line.
