Braner USA announces a new Slitting line with powerful and advanced slitting systems built for high-output operations. This massive 60,000 lb x 60” wide x 0.250” thick Turret Head™ Slitting Line is engineered to deliver unmatched performance, full automation, and industry-leading cut capacity. Designed for structural and service center applications.
This slitting line handles coated, P&O, hot rolled black carbon, and stainless steel with tensile strengths up to 100,000 PSI. The line’s cut capacity is remarkable: 22 cuts at 0.250", 61 cuts at 0.125" down to .060’’. Allen-Bradley PLC system with full-line diagnostics, shift-based reporting, and remote support capability. At the heart of the system is Braner’s 14” Arbor Dual-Head Turret Head™ Slitter, equipped with quick lock threadless Clover Nuts and digital positioning depth.
A full perimeter guarding and safety system—all packed into a compact “shorter-is-better” layout that improves operator visibility, threading efficiency, and floor space utilization. We believe the longer the distance a strip must travel from the uncoiler to the recoiler, the less time spent running the line affecting throughput of quality product out the door.
What truly sets this line apart is our patented Andiamo™ hands-free threading system. Threading is one of the biggest time-killers in high-strip-count operations—but Andiamo solves that. It automatically connects the lead ends of up to 60 narrow slit strips into a single, flat “tabbed” strip. This strip feeds across the pit and through the tension stand without the need for clamps, grabbers, or operator assistance. Once through, the knives reposition to finish the cuts. The result: a threading process that takes less than a minute—even on 22 strips of 0.250" gauge. Andiamo also includes a "Check Width" sequence to verify tolerances before the full coil run, all automatically. Imagine the time spent repassing coils on your current slitting line and time that could be saved doing it in a single pass.
This line was built for real-world production, where steel doesn't wait and uptime matters. With heavy-duty construction, compact footprint, precision performance, and automated threading, it sets the standard for high-cut, high-strength coil slitting.
If you're ready to increase your throughput, improve safety, and reduce changeover time, let's talk. We can review your application, customize your layout, and deliver a system that works the way your business runs.
