February 2012 - Chicago Tube & Iron, Romeoville, Ill., expanded its laser fabrication capabilities with the addition of the BLM Group Adige LT Jumbo, an advanced, five-axis, 3,500-watt laser tube-cutting machine. It can fabricate 14-inch round or 12-inch-by-8-inch rectangular tubes with a wall thickness of 5⁄8 inch in 40-foot lengths. This is the sixth addition to CTI’s laser fleet.
