August 2012 - Trumpf Inc., Farmington, Conn., recently selected Ohio Laser LLC, Plain City, Ohio, to beta test its new TruLaser 1030 cutting machine prototype. With a solid state disc laser system rather than a beam delivery system, the TruLaser 1030 quickly cuts almost any shape from steel plate up to 0.50 in. thick, stainless steel up to 0.25 in. thick and aluminum up to 0.187 in. thick.
