July 31, 2014 - KASTO Inc. introduced their uniquely revolutionary KASTOwin line of 5 new band-saws. This new line comprises high cutting performance and short downtimes, designed for production sawing of solid material, tubes and profiles. These machines combine ball screw feed with linear guides in conjunction with their new touch screen SmartControl, that’s capable of storing cut jobs by the user’s part number. With the KASTOrespond monitoring cutting forces feature, the new saws adapt speeds and feeds accordingly. The operator only enters cut-length, number of cuts and material grade making set-up time easier and more efficient.
The US introduction and unveiling of the KASTOwin line was held on June 25-27, at a three day open house event attended by high level company executives from across the United States. The enthusiasm of the attendees for the new German technology was further heightened with a complete tour of KASTO’s state-of-the art facility, located 10 miles outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition to the new line, two of KASTO’s time-saving automated storage units were on display to show how efficiency and organization can be achieved for bar/linear and sheet metal products. While walking through the plant, individuals were able to view KASTO’s vast inventory of stocked parts in conjunction with their complete service department and blade welding services.
The event was joined by members of the board of directors from KASTO’s corporate office in Germany, along with media who were also on-site. Everyone in attendance enjoyed fine dining and drinks while socializing with their colleagues from across the country. The three days culminated with a round of golf at a course near KASTO’s U.S. headquarters. The KASTOwin U.S. product line launch was a tremendous success, where multiple machines were purchased, in addition to people from around the globe experienced the latest in German engineering.
