June 17, 2015 - Formtek-Maine, manufacturer of coil metal processing equipment and systems, Clinton ME, expands its manufacturing capabilities with the purchase of a new Mazak 530C twin pallet vertical machining center. The new machine is the eighth CNC vertical machining center installed at Formtek-Maine’s 85,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. The Mazak unit adds capacity to the company’s current manufacturing capabilities for the production of parts used in a variety of equipment and systems produced for the press feed and coil metal processing markets.

The new Mazak 530C has feed axes capacity to mill (X=40 in., Y=20 in., Z=20 in.) and is equipped with a twin pallet changer system which unloads the completed part and loads the next part to be machined in under 17 seconds. The Mazak 530C greatly increases the efficiency for the production of parts used in the manufacture of straighteners, servo feeds, stock reels and other items manufactured by Formtek-Maine.
