William and Lou Beth Nemzin founded North Shore Steel in 1955 as a family-owned and operated salvage and scrap business serving the Houston community. In the early 1980s, the second generation of family joined the business with a focus on growth and a vision of expanding product lines and services through the implementation of the latest in computer technology and equipment and the further development of long-service employees. The vision was realized, and today, third generation family members have joined the business. North Shore Steel continues to invest in sophisticated processing equipment, product diversification, technology, safety, quality, and employee development.

As the premier steel service center serving the Gulf Coast Region, North Shore Steel offers a wide range of carbon, stainless, aluminum, and galvanized products, including structural steel, pipe, fittings, flanges, and plate.
