June 20, 2018 - Adi Buerkler (left) has been named Product Manager of TruLaser Tube for the Laser Product Group and Masoud Harooni (right) has been named Product Manager of TruLaser Weld, a new position for the Laser Product Group.
As of May 1st, 2018, Adi Buerkler has been named Product Manager of TruLaser Tube for the Laser Product Group. In this new position for the Laser Group, Adi will directly report to Mark Bronski, Product Group Manager for TruLaser Products.
Adi’s career with TRUMPF began in 1998 at TRUMPF in Gruesch, Switzerland as a Mechanical Engineer. Following his time in Switzerland, Adi joined TRUMPF Inc. in Farmington, Connecticut in 2001. Here he held 2 positions, prior to becoming the Manager of the International Service Competence Center and Technical Manager. Buerkler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the GBC Business School in Chur, Switzerland and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Over the last 14 years, Adi has gained a broad background in 2D Laser Cutting Machines. He has also provided TRUMPF customers with technical expertise by collaborating with TRUMPF’s Engineering, Service, Assembly and Training Departments in his previous role.
In his new role, Adi is responsible for expanding TRUMPF’s market share by helping fabricators realize the benefits of laser tube processing. He will work together with TRUMPF’s TruLaser Tube customers to help optimize their tube cutting capabilities and will serve as a technology expert – providing product and process support to the Sales organization.
Masoud Harooni has been named Product Manager of TruLaser Weld, a new position for the Laser Product Group. Masoud will directly report to Mark Bronski, Product Group Manager for TruLaser Products.
In 2011, Masoud began his PhD studies in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Laser Welding at the Research Center for Advanced Manufacturing at SMU in Dallas, Texas. Masoud has received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
Following graduation in May 2014, he worked as a Laser Welding Engineer at a tier 1 automotive supplier. He served as part-time faculty for Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis
(IUPUI) where he developed and taught a Modern Manufacturing Processes course. Masoud began his career with TRUMPF at the Smart Factory in Chicago in May 2017 as a Senior Advanced Technology Engineer.
Masoud will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the TruLaser Weld group. In his new role, he will work to develop resources and processes to enhance TRUMPF’s customer product demonstrations. Masoud will also work to enhance TRUMPF’s training to further advance our customers’ knowledge and proficiency on the TruLaser Weld.
