August 23, 2018 - Continuous-cast copper alloys innovator Concast Metal Products, Mars, Pennsylvania, has announced the promotion of Jared Goran (pictured) to Director of Quality and Metallurgy. The announcement was made by President Al Barbour.
Goran, an Ohio State graduate in metallurgical engineering, joined Concast in 2003, filling positions in both the warehouse and the lab. He advanced into the position of Metallurgist in 2006 and Operations Manager in 2013.
As Director of Quality and Metallurgy, Goran will interface with both sales and operations to provide guidance around customer and vendor quality requirements and procedures for production. He will draw upon his leadership and technical background in advising the metallurgical laboratory group in the performance of their responsibilities. In addition, he will serve as the company’s subject matter expert in the areas of quality performance, certifications, audits, and supplier assessments.
