June 10, 2019 - The Kalamazoo Machine Tool, Portage, Michigan, C316 series vertical column cold saw with its infinitely variable speeds from 17-33 RPM enables the operator to produce crisp, clean edges on the particular stock being cut. This is critical because depending on the stock, wall thickness, and bundle size (if any), a variation in blade speed as little as 1 RPM can make a significant difference between edge burrs (and the need for secondary machining) and a clean cut.
The C316 series saws can operate in a conventional 90 degree cutoff mode, or with the turn of the locking lever, the saw frame can be swiveled to any angle up to 45 degrees left or 60 degrees right for miter sawing. The mitering device has a highly visible vernier scale and a preset zero return stop. C316 series saws are available in a completely manual model, or manual model with a quick-clamping air vise.
The C316 series saws feature a heavy-duty precision-ground saw bed, heavy-duty drive and TEFC motors, totally enclosed transmission, full coolant system, full blade guarding that’s easy to remove, and a powered rotary brush cleaner to eliminate plugging and loading that can cause premature blade failure.
