October 18, 2019 - Not only does the Karlmann King have stealth bomber-inspired looks, but it also has a stealth bomber price—starting at $1.9 million. Billed as the world’s most expensive SUV, what’s really underneath all that faceted carbon fiber and steel clad-work (available in an optional bulletproof version) is a Ford F-550 commercial cab chassis. While it looks like military hardware on the outside, the King is as luxurious inside as its name implies.
A flat-screen TV, ambient lighting, refrigerator, pop-out tables and even a Nespresso coffee machine are all available. But all that luxury comes at the price of weight—over 13,000 pounds—so even with the Ford F-550 underpinnings and a 6.8L V10 engine, the King tops out at 87 mph. Each one is made to order in Italy with no option off the table.
