January 31, 2020 - The Kalamazoo Industries, Kalamazoo, Michigan, model K44E 44-inch enclosed wet abrasive metallurgical saw was custom-fabricated to meet the customer’s special requirements for exact cutting of his super alloys. Inside the saw’s ten-foot high enclosure the sawhead rides on a vertical column instead of the conventional hinge or pivot style saw. This provides a more stable cut for greater accuracy and repeatability. The 75HP motor ensures a quick cut and an outstanding finish. Flood cooling further ensures dimensional accuracy by keeping the workpiece at a consistent dimension throughout the production run.

The model K44E saw features a semi-automatic hydraulic system with a rapid feed advance override button, flow control valve, Kalamazoo Industries’ TruArc tm oscillation, external vise controls, pump and tank system, left and right through ports, and electrical and hydraulic quick disconnects. Options include door safety interlocks, air operated chain vise, air operated jawed vise.
