April 23, 2020 - Regiomontana, a welded tube, metal building products manufacturer, and coil processor has installed a second Braner USA Inc. Turret Head™ Slitting Line in its Monterrey Apodaca Mexico manufacturing facility to produce high quality slit coil for its manufacturing and coil processing operations. The line is designed to process CR, HR, and pre-painted coil to 60 in. wide in gauges from .015 in. (0.38mm) through .187 in. (4.80mm). Slitting capacity is 10-cuts in .187 in. processing coils with mechanical properties to 460 Mpa. To minimize crew size and enhance tons-per-hour production efficiency, operational safety, and product quality, the entire Turret Head Slitting Line was built to measure a mere 40-feet from Uncoiler-to-Recoiler. Other production efficiency characteristics include a Turret Head™ Slitter equipped with heads that exchange in one-minute, threadless Slitter tooling lock-up, automatic knife gapping, loop control tensioning, hands-free Andiamo automatic coil thread-up, and internet enabled maintenance diagnostics.
