July 20, 2020 - The Kalamazoo Industries BG448 4 by 48 in, industrial abrasive belt grinder has a powerful 3HP motor with a 7200 SFPM surface speed for fast metal removal with minimal heat. The machine comes with a 4 in. by 8 in. 70 Duro serrated contact wheel, but other contact wheels are available. The grinder features a multi position grinding head from vertical to horizontal, a reversible and removable 4 in. by 10 in. steel platen, 4 in. by 10 in. work surface, a quick belt change mechanism and an adjustable 8 in. by 8 in. cast iron work table with a 5/8 in. slot.
In addition to the BG448, Kalamazoo Industries offers standard belt grinders in one-inch, two-inch, three-inch and six-inch wide models. Any of these can be customized to meet specific needs.
