April 21, 2021 - Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Michigan, has announced the hiring of Blaine Lingenfelter as its new director of engineering. He will be responsible for hiring, supervising and goal setting for the engineering team as well as being actively involved in new product development and ensuring engineering activities are aligned with company objectives.
“COE has always led the industry in technical innovations, and we’re confident that Blaine’s management experience and knowledge of the metal stamping industry will help us continue this tradition,” said Reid Coe, COE president. “We’re excited to have him on board.”
Lingenfelter has spent nearly 30 years on the engineering side of manufacturing for a variety of Tier One global automotive suppliers producing stampings, machined components, powertrain components and more. Most recently, he was technical manager for GT Technologies (Westland, Mich.) responsible for managing its VAVE engineering and supplier development programs across the organization and supply chain.
He earned an associates degree in mechanical engineering technology from Cuyahoga Community College and a bachelor’s of engineering from the University of Akron.
