AMADA AMERICA INC. Celebrates 50 Years of Innovation in the United States

December 1, 2021 - On October 28, 2021, AMADA personnel, customers, and members of the media gathered in celebration at the Carolina Technical Center in High Point, North Carolina, to commemorate AMADA AMERICA’s 50 years in the United States, also marking the first full year since the opening of the Carolina Technical Center.

The CTC is located on the same campus as the 197,000 sq. ft. Carolina Manufacturing Center. Both facilities were built to benefit U.S. fabricators. Since opening in October 2020, AMADA’s highly-trained technical staff continues to welcome visitors to the CTC to perform one-on-one machine demonstrations and host technical events.

In addition, a growing network of U.S. manufacturing sites establishes AMADA as the premier American manufacturer of sheet metal fabrication equipment. In California, a full line of 3-12kW laser cutting systems and modular automation systems are built at the Brea Manufacturing Center. At the Carolina Manufacturing Center in High Point, North Carolina, AMADA manufactures its newest line of press brakes — the HRB Series. And, tooling for the high-performance HRB Series is manufactured at AMADA TOOL AMERICA, INC., in Batavia, New York. Coast-to-coast manufacturing capabilities benefit American fabricators by expediting delivery of AMADA’s industry-leading machine tool solutions.

To provide hands-on demonstrations of the latest generation of equipment, AMADA continues to expand its network of customer-centered sites. The Carolina Technical Center, Schaumburg Solution Center, and the Los Angeles Technical Center provide convenient, nationwide access to AMADA’s highly-trained staff including, applications engineers and service/support personnel. Each of these facilities is also linked via live video feed — enabling customers to verify machine performance utilizing their own parts on the broadest possible selection of the latest generation of AMADA equipment.

Attendees at the 50th-anniversary celebration participated in a variety of events, including facilities and factory tours. A 24,000 sq. ft. Verification Floor within the CTC showcases the latest AMADA machines and automated systems. As a result, guests were able to witness first-hand demonstrations on state-of-the-art equipment. Attendees also toured the AMADA Press Brake Academy — which was established at the Carolina Technical Center to address the crucial need for experienced press brake operators. In addition to training, the 43-acre Carolina campus provides manufacturing, service, and a state-of-the-art Technical Center all at one location. These capabilities are further proof that no company is more committed to the support of North American fabricators than AMADA.

Founded in 1971 as a research and development company, AMADA AMERICA, INC. has grown to become the industry leader by growing together with its customers. In appreciation, AMADA remains committed to the constant development of innovative machine tool solutions and automated systems to maximize the productivity of American fabricators.
