February 8, 2022 - Columbia Manufacturing Inc., Columbia, Connecticut, a supplier of precision metal components for domestic and international turbine engines, announced two key appointments to its engineering team in support of increasing new part activity. The new hires bring to the company significant technical, aviation production, and overhaul and repair expertise.

Dan Lam, engineering manager, joins CMI with over 35 years of aerospace experience at large and small companies, including 14 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Lam will lead the engineering team and play an important role in support of the company’s New Part Introduction (NPI) process. As the company continues to be awarded new contracts, this process is critical to the successful introduction of new parts into the company’s manufacturing process, which will enable the company to meet the demands of its customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Leo Ostrawski, senior manufacturing engineer, has over 15 years of aerospace engineering experience in production engines as well as overhaul and repair. Ostrawski will design and develop manufacturing processes using various machining centers to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality. His experience and technical knowledge will further enhance an already strong team of engineers.
