August 5, 2022- Gerdau has completed its purchase from L.B. Foster Co. of a St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, rail products operation. The location produces track components, including rail anchors and track spikes. "This operation has a long history of supplying customers with outstanding products,” said Chia Yuan Wang, president of Gerdau Long Steel North America. In North America, Gerdau operates metals recycling yards, steel mills, and downstream manufacturing locations, including rail products operations in Paragould, Arkansas, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Lancaster, South Carolina.
