Bystronic Inc announces their support for the 2023 Summer Manufacturing Camps for Girls funded by Nuts, Bolts, & Thingamajigs (NBT), a foundation of the Fabricators and Manufacturing Association (FMA).
Of the 236 NBT camps taking place across the country this summer, 27 camps are specifically focused on educating girls aged 12-16 and introducing them to the many opportunities that are available in the manufacturing industry. Bystronic’s contribution also includes a donation to NBT’s scholarship program. To date, NBT has awarded over $1.3 million in scholarships to students enrolled in a degree or training program that leads to a career in manufacturing.
“It is our privilege to support NBT in their efforts to grow the population of young Americans who desire to join the manufacturing workforce of the United States. It is only with such efforts that we will continue to find the passion and talent that our industry needs to remain competitive in a quickly changing world market. And we are particularly pleased to support inclusion by providing the opportunity for more women to learn of the opportunities that our industry has to offer. We would like to thank NBT for allowing us to be a part of this important effort.” Bob St. Aubin, President, Bystronic Americas Region.
