Lapham-Hickey acquires Alkar Steel and Processing

 

Lapham-Hickey Steel is thrilled to announce that, effective December 31st , we have acquired Alkar Steel and Processing.

Alkar Steel and Processing, also known as ASAP, was founded 50 years ago and operates a 125,000 square foot facility just outside of Detroit, Michigan. ASAP offers a diverse range of slitting capabilities and is a market leader in cold rolled, galvanized, high carbon and hot rolled pickled & oiled products.

Alkar Steel and Processing will operate as a division of Lapham-Hickey Steel, with their existing sales and operating teams providing their customers the exceptional service they have been accustomed to since 1975. Patrick Fayad will remain President of Alkar Steel and retain a minority stake in the Alkar division.
