O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) announced the promotion of Jason Smith to General Manager of its Louisville, Kentucky, steel fabrication facility.
Smith has spent more than 30 years in the steel industry, working in machine operation, shipping, maintenance, and production supervision across several steel service centers and fabrication plants.
Since joining O’Neal Manufacturing Services, Smith has held several key roles, including manufacturing analyst, regional lean manufacturing specialist, and production manager. Most recently, he served as Assistant General Manager of OMS Indianapolis since 2024, where he further developed the leadership and operational expertise that led to his current appointment.
"Jason’s growth within the company shows just how much he knows about both the hands-on work and how to lead people," said Kent Brown, President and CEO of O’Neal Manufacturing Services. "Promoting him to General Manager is a big win for our Louisville plant as we continue to grow our business."
Smith’s extensive background in manufacturing and operational strategy will be instrumental in driving efficiency and upholding the high-quality standards that OMS customers rely on.
