RSB Invests in Teqram’s EasyFlipper: Turning Heavy Parts Faster and Safer

RSB has significantly improved efficiency and workplace safety with the EasyFlipper from Teqram. Three machines are already in daily use, helping operators handle heavy metal parts quickly, safely, and ergonomically. A fourth EasyFlipper is now on its way.

The Challenge: Turning Heavy Components Many of RSB’s components weigh several hundred pounds and must be turned multiple times during production. Previously, this was done with slings, a process that was slow, physically demanding, and ergonomically unsafe. Depending on size and shape, flipping a single part could take several minutes.

The Solution: EasyFlipper by Teqram To solve this challenge, RSB turned to Teqram, a Dutch manufacturer specializing in smart automation solutions for the metalworking industry. Since 2022, three EasyFlippers have been in operation at RSB. These EasyFlippers can flip parts weighing up to 1,650 lbs within seconds. Depending on geometry, multiple parts can be turned at once, making it a highly versatile solution. Ralf Wünsch, Operations Manager at RSB, highlights the benefits:

“Flipping now takes only 10 seconds. The EasyFlipper makes work safer, more efficient, and far more ergonomic for our employees.”

Flexible deployment EasyFlippers are used in various areas, such as at the deburring station for the flame cut parts, for processing parts in the rotary table blasting system, and in front of the machining center for multi-sided face milling.

Next Step: More Power with Hydraulic EasyFlipper Encouraged by these results, RSB has now invested in the hydraulic EasyFlipper from Teqram. This stronger version can safely turn parts weighing up to 11,000 lbs - perfectly suited to the large-scale components RSB handles on a daily basis.

Raising Industry Standards By investing in Teqram’s EasyFlipper technology, RSB demonstrates how smart automation can enhance both productivity and workplace safety. This partnership underlines RSB’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and the renowned quality of “Made in Germany.”
