May. 2026- Opened in January 2026, the Sydney Fish Market establishes a world-class “foodie” destination. The project integrates the public realm and contemporary market space and fosters a strong sense of community at Blackwattle Bay in Sydney, Australia. Measuring 80,000 square meters, the development’s architect is 3XN GXN. An undulating 20,000- square-meter floating roof unifies the entire complex with sustainable technology. Weighing 2,500 tonnes, the 200-metre-long roof is composed of 594 glued laminated timber beams and 407 pyramidal aluminum cassettes lined with solar panels.
