A sculpture, The Wild Couch Party, is on exhibit through May 28, 2025, in Fosun Plaza, 28 Liberty, New York City. Designed and manufactured by British and Australian artists Gillie and Marc, this work represents an invitation “to join the best party in the world.” Cast in bronze, the characters Rabbitwoman and Dogman sit in the middle of the couch flanking an African elephant. Other “guests” are among the world’s most endangered animals: hippopotamus, Masai giraffe, Bengal tiger, koala, chimpanzee, Grevy’s zebra, Northern white rhinocerus, lion, mountain gorilla, orangutan and an Arabian red fox. The sculpture comes in four parts, together weighing more than 13,000 pounds.
