Leeco Steel, the largest supplier of steel plate in North America, announces the promotion of Dave Diemel to Vice President of Operations and appointment to Leeco’s executive management team, effective April 1, 2024.
Mr. Diemel has over 18 years of experience in operations management and lean manufacturing, serving
most recently as Leeco’s Senior Director of Operations.
“Dave’s extensive experience in managing operations and applying lean manufacturing principles will be
a significant asset to Leeco’s next phase of growth,” said Denton Nordhues, President and CEO of Leeco
Steel. “We look forward to seeing how Dave’s leadership will help expand Leeco’s plate processing and
distribution business divisions.”
Mr. Diemel replaces outgoing Vice President of Operations, Chad Schuh, who retired at the end of
March. Mr. Schuh joined Leeco Steel as the Vice President of Operations in 2006, and played a vital role
in expanding the company’s footprint and commercial presence in North America and laying the
groundwork for a successful model for expansion into new markets.
“Chad’s contributions over the years cannot be overstated,” said Nordhues. “I am quite certain Leeco
would not be where it is today without his consistent leadership, strategic planning and his ability to
motivate and develop a strong operations team.”
