Humble Beginnings

When Ken Voges opened Red Bud Industries as a tool and die shop in 1959, he had a simple philosophy: Make quality equipment while running his company with the Christian values with which he was raised. Over 60 years later, his values are still the core of the company, while his vision has been expanded.

Today, Red Bud Industries is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Coil Processing Equipment. Red Bud Industries is able to manufacture the most advanced and productive equipment in the industry. Recently, Red Bud Industries installed a Heavy Gage Cut-To-Length Line with Stretcher Leveling for Paxton & Vierling Steel Co. This line is able to process 1” (25.4 mm) thick material, making it one of the largest machines of its type in the world.

We are proud to introduce our latest video that features this line and highlights the history of Red Bud Industries. It also includes the latest advancements and capabilities that come with Red Bud Industries' Equipment. Magic Coil Testimonial

For years, Magic Coil Products' customers asked them to invest in a Multi-Blanking Line. Unable to find what they needed on the used market, they turned to Red Bud Industries. In this video, Tom Pasko, Director of Sales at Magic Coil, describes his decision to purchase the line from Red Bud Industries and how it has already changed the way they can support their customer base. Steve Lent, Chief Financial Officer at Magic Coil, speaks about how they relied on Red Bud Industries' expertise to guide them through the process of adding this state-of-the-art machine. Magic Coil Products is determined to be the best, and that is the reason they chose Red Bud Industries, a world leader in Multi-Blanking Technology.

PVS-Metals Video Testimonial

Last year, Paxton & Vierling Steel (PVS-Metals) constructed a brand new 200,000 square foot processing center at its company headquarters just outside of Omaha, Nebraska. The new building was specifically designed to house one of the world’s largest Heavy Gage Cut-To-Length Lines built by Red Bud Industries. This new line is capable of processing material up to 1” (25. mm) thick at widths up to 77” (1956 mm). Included in the line is a massive 3000 ton Stretcher Leveler that allows PVS-Metals to provide dead flat material that is free of trapped internal stresses. With cycle times less than 8 seconds, PVS-Metal’s new Stretcher Leveler is the fastest in the world of its size.

When the time came to select a machinery builder, PVS-Metals ultimately chose Red Bud Industries. In this video, Tyler Owen, President of Owen Industries, PVS-Metals, and Keith Siebels, Senior Vice President of PVS-Metals, speak on their decision to work with Red Bud Industries and how the new line has changed their business. “Continued dedication to manufacturing the most innovative equipment in the industry, while providing the highest level of service and support, truly separates Red Bud from the field,” says Owen. With the new line, PVS-Metals is now able to supply new markets that require higher strength and thicker material. Siebels says, “The new line is much more than just a machine. It has transformed our business.”

Red Bud Industries-Legacy

We invite you to take a few minutes and see a small glimpse into our company’s history and the extraordinary dedication that helped create a world leader in Coil Processing Equipment.

Recently, founders, Ken and Joan Voges, discuss those early years. Ken discusses the sacrifices needed to start a business, the importance of family and faith, and how the company really did start in an abandoned chicken coop.
